I've been inspired---by lace that is! Of course I've found yet another top (c/o) that taps into my 'vintage meets modern day' side. I believe it's from starting 'Downton Abbey' and obsessing over their historical costumes that may be the reason. It's a classic piece with crocheted details on the neckline and sleeves, which gives it a unique look but still in perennial fashion. I wanted to experiment with different textures and trends by styling it with a pair of simple black loose fitted pants that cinch at the ankle and lengthen my look with strappy heels.
This is definitely one way to dress things up, but you do have other options that can keep things still pretty casual: Try pairing your lace top with colored jeans and wedges, or tuck it into a fun summer skirt with ballet flats!
On a whole other note, I know I've been pretty bad at keeping up with my Coffee Talk posts but trust me, I haven't forgotten. I had one for this week, but what I have planned will take a little bit more time...and a lot more caffeine *hint* *hint*
