Places in Charlotte to get your latte art fix:

Ok, so today's coffee talk is targeted towards my fellow North Carolinian's who live in Charlotte or the ones who love to just visit it. If you follow me on Instagram and you've seen my feed, there are quite a few coffee grams with sunglasses or cookies placed appropriately beside it. And the big question you probably ask yourself is, "Where can I get one?!" Well, today I'm talking latte art and where you can grab your next frothy beverage! I've been to just about all the places around Charlotte that serve pretty little hearts and flowers in lattes, but I'm going to list my favorite 4 (in no order):

1.) Not Just Coffee - With two locations in Charlotte, you can get double the fun! I mean just look at how cute that latte bear is! #Adorbs! The first location is located right in Uptown Charlotte in the 7th Street Market and the second is located on South Blvd in Atherton Mill. I've been to both locations, but if you want to visit the Uptown location, you can most certainly park in their parking deck, just ask them for validation when you're done.

2.) Amélie's French Bakery - If you're looking for a place with a creative like atmosphere, where almost every table and chair is different, or wanting to get a taste of your first french macaron, then this is the place for you! This is the place that I actually did try a french macaron for the first time and literally they had many flavors to choose from. I recommend trying the multi-berry for sure! They have two locations as well, located in NoDa and Uptown.

3.) Smelly Cat Coffee House - First, I just love the name. Very unique and definitely stands out from the rest. Best part, they roast their own beans! How cool is that!? I went here last summer when I was meeting up with a friend and of course had a latte...it was so good that I down'd that bad boy in like 10 mins. It's located in NoDa on E 36th Street.

4.) Central Coffee Co. - Ok, so I actually just tried one of their frapps (which was delicious btw, and way better than your usual Starbucks trip). The first thing you see when you walk in is their hand drawn menu. The first thing I thought was, "Man, that had to take forever!" But the fact that they took that time to create it, gave the place a personal approach. It's located on Louise Ave.

So whether you're looking for photogenic coffee or just a new place to hang out at, I'd recommend all these locations. Everyone is so nice and welcoming, and I can't wait to head out this weekend and try them all again!
FUN FACT: Did you know that before I started blogging, I too worked as a barista in Charlotte? I gained a whole lot of love and appreciation for the craft and learned what a good espresso looks and tastes like. Heck, I know all the differences between a dark and light roast!
