Anniversary Sale Prep

Nordy Sale
It's the eve of the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I can't tell you how pumped I am! Last year I was late to the game, didn't have the rewards card and by the time the sale had opened to everyone, the majority of the stuff that I had liked was out of my size or worse...out of stock! Thankfully, I've prepared and had even taken a close look at their catologue preview. I took pieces from it and compiled together a collage of some of the items I've got my eye on and that I believe will go quickly!

There's no perfect way to strategize the sale, but here are my tips to keep in mind before the sale begins (both online and in-store):

TIP 1. Find what you're missing in your closet; I've done a huge closet purge and it has opened the fact that I need a good pair of leggings, plaid button downs, and possibly a new fur vest. (I've had the same one for 3 years, it's time to lay it to rest and get a new one, haha!)

TIP 2. When you're on the sale site, use the filter option for faster results, rather than going through page after page just to find that one white tunic or leather jacket.

TIP 3. If you see that there are sizes quickly going on an item you want. HURRY! If it's in your size, go ahead and check it out! Don't wait! Nordstrom has free shipping so it's better to go ahead and claim it than let it sit in your cart and risk the possibillity that it won't be there by the time you're done shopping.

TIP 4. If you have a Nordstrom store nearby, see if they have in-store pick up on your items. I LOVE that they have this option! It provides a stress-free shopping experience without having to deal with the craziness. Plus you don't have to wait 3 days on shipping! Though a warning, this might even be a risky possiblity since it takes up to an hour to confirm they have it.

TIP 5. If in-store pick up isn't an option at your local Nordstrom, go ahead and talk to a sales person today and see if you can get their card with their number and have them pull your items. YES, I'm serious! I went to the store the other day and one of the ladies told me to take her card and text her what I needed for the sale and that she would pull it for me and put it on hold till I got there. How freaking sweet! Yet another great way to skip the craziness.

So those are just a few tips to keep in mind in preps for tomorrow.

A simple plaid button up will make for a casual go to piece in your closet. This season you'll see darker versions (dark blue, olive, and burgundy).

I was so happy to grab the bow felt hat. I LOVED it, and now it's coming back, this time in a flat top version...and in other colors!

This Lush tunic went FAST during the sale, and no wonder too! It went with everything and you could literally style it multiple different ways. It was also great for a layering piece!

Blanket scarves will be making a comeback, so be sure to stock up this Fall!
